HEY! ARI HERE! I’M (SORTA) RETURNING- BUT NOT COMPLETELY. I might make some more posts, but I’m actually considering creating a new journal. This one is pretty old and junked up- I want to rebuild the whole thing from the foundation, and (almost) completely revamp it, so I should just get a new account and start from scratch, no? Hi everybody. *hugs* Ohmigod, you'll NEVER believe it, but here goes:
1. Someone made a gun threat (threatened to bring a gun to school and blow us all to hell) but the school doesn't know who it was.
2. Yesterday, the teachers had to look through everyones' lockers to check for weapons, but didn't find weapons. (They DID, however, find drugs. Creepy.)
3. This morning, there were a bunch of police officers with guns and metal detectors in the school, and they searched everyones' backpack before they were allowed into the main building, and we had to turn out our pockets and stuff, and it was really freaky. It just made it so much more... REAL. Like 'OMG this is ACTUALLY happening.' You see stuff like this on the news, and hear about people like that, but you never really think it'll happen to YOU or people you KNOW, never imagine that it'll be someone you waved at JUST the other day that comes in with a gun, swinging it around and... Yeah. Moving on...
4. They sent us all home with letters saying that 'the searches will continue' and that we're going to continue to host a police force in our school hallways.

....I am SO freaked out right now. Oh my god....

HIYAS!!!! *superflyingtacklepouncehugs* Guess what? I got approved to be in the G/T Program! It's this thing my new school does, and if your test scores are high enough or something, you get in! ^_^ (I think G/T stands for Gifted/Talented or something.) Basically, you get to work on the school TV show and some other cool stuff. I think there's supposed to be an informational meeting later this week. I'm so excited! *hugs*
In other news, I was in the district spelling bee! I didn't win, but it was still really fun! Everybody got ribbons, and there's going to be a picture of us in the paper. (I hid in the back. I always look really bad in photos.)
I hope everybody's okay with the midterm thing. My grades aren't too shabby. I studied for a while, so.... Yeah. *hugs and hands out MORE good luck charms*
I love the Stargate shows! They're FAWESOME!!! They're FEXCELLENT!!! They're... a bit nerdy, I admit. But they're really cool! And I'm hooked. I made a bunch of icons and desktops for Stargate Atlantis. ^.^ *squee* I haven't seen very many episodes, but now that I've figured out when it's on, I can watch it every weekend, and I'm going to try to get an episode set! *YAY!!!*
Last Monday our school was closed for low temperatures, which was cool, because it was only about 29 degrees below zero or something, and I was still recovering from a fever. (I missed Thursday and Friday last week because I got influenza, and then I spent the weekend getting better.)

I LIKE WAFFLES!!!

GREAT, AWESOME, VIEWTIFUL, WONDERFUL, FANTASMA-FREAKIN-GORICAL BOOK SERIES!!!!! ^.^ *jumps up and down*

*calms down and takes medication (Just kidding. I'm not on medications. XD)* Yeah. Well, NYWAYS.....

I hope you're all okay! Midterms suck. I hope I did okay on the Algebra one.... *shudders at thought of possible grades* I'm probably dead LiveJournalist meat. My GPA will hate me. *sighs* Well, enough complaining! (for now) I made a pretty new desktop for my compy! *pride*

Yep! I have a few other cool ones, but this one's my current fav. I love the poem. I have it memorized from the poster in our choir classroom. *is bricked by music lovers for not paying attention* Our choir teacher is kinda obsessive over music, though. She's insane. Seriously! At our first concert (in front of our parents-it wasn't really huge or important) a baby was crying (really quietly!) and she stopped the music, turned around and said (DIRECT QUOTE! This is EXACTLY what she said-I am completely serious!) "I'll wait until that child is removed."
Oh. My. GOD! So a baby is CRYING!!!! It's not such a huge DEAL!!!! She was all pissed about it-like the baby had done her some personal wrong by deciding it was tired, or hungry, or needed a diaper change! She didn't even say please, or sorry, or.... Yeah. Even my parents were talking about how mean she was. Sorry for the rant. ^.^()

You know what really stinks? We had school on Martin Luther King Jr. Day!!! Oh well. >.<

In other news, I'm sad because I found out about my friend's birthday party. AKA-I wasn't invited. Probably because I moved, but we live less than 40 minutes away, only across the border, and I still go to the same orthodontist and..... Yeah. I'm sad. Especially because she kinda lied so I wouldn't find out. She said she was going to be gone most of the day, but I decided to call and see if she was home or something, and... well.... I could hear everyone. And another friend of mine told me that her party had been that day, and long story short, I know, and I don't know if she knows that I know, and..... Yeah. I'm just.... sad. It had already been a pretty bad day.


*cheers up* Well, that's about it! Oh, just remembered-I made it into the eighth grade spelling bee. (Yay!)

I know this is no time to be talking fandoms, but I totally need to tell you about this viewtifully FANTASMAGORICAL author called Scott Westerfeld! (His brain is a machine for turning coffee into NYTimes Bestsellers! Sorry, had to have the SY reference.)

Four books! (The trilogy plus the other one.) If you do't like my reviews/summaries, please read the books anyway, because I'm not very good at making up summaries, and they're really great. ^.^
